An anniversary photo album tells the story of two people over time, so it works best with a clear structure: how you met, the early days, the big day, the years in between, and where you are now. 10 anniversary photo album ideas
- The story so far. Five or six chapters in order, from the first photo of the two of you to a new portrait taken for the album.
- One photo a year. A single favorite from every year together, each with the year and one line about it. Simple and very effective for a tenth anniversary or later.
- Then and now. Recreate early photos in the same place or pose. Put the original and the recreation on facing pages.
- Every place we’ve lived. Each home, from the first flat onward, with a photo of the two of you there.
- Trips together. One spread per journey, opening with a map or ticket and ending with the best photo of you both.
- Our ordinary days. Cooking, walking the dog, Sunday mornings. The everyday life you built is the real anniversary story.
- Letters and photos. Pair photos with old cards, notes or messages you sent each other.

Finding the photos
- Search by date. Most phone and cloud photo apps let you jump to a month. Start with each anniversary date, then birthdays and holidays.
- Scan the old prints. Photos from before phones are often the most precious. A phone scanning app is fine for an album; scan at the largest size it offers.
- Ask family. Parents and friends often have photos of you that you have never seen.
