How to combine photos
- Choose two to ten photos. Use the arrows to put them in order, left to right or top to bottom.
- Pick side by side or stacked, and add spacing if you want a gap between pictures.
- Press Combine photos, check the preview, then download a JPG or PNG.
Side by side or stacked?
Side by side scales every photo to the same height, so a portrait and a landscape sit neatly next to each other. It suits before-and-after pairs, two people, or a short sequence. Stacked scales every photo to the same width, which suits screenshots, recipe steps and panoramic views that read from top to bottom.
Photos are scaled to the smallest one in the set, so nothing is enlarged and blurred. Very long results are kept under 8,000 pixels on the long side, which works for messaging apps, printing and most websites.
Why nothing gets cropped
Collage tools fit photos into fixed frames, which means trimming the edges. Combining is different: each picture keeps its whole frame and its own shape, and the finished image takes whatever overall shape the photos add up to. If you want a fixed shape such as a square for Instagram, use the photo grid maker or a 2 photo collage instead.
Ideas for combined photos
- Before and after: a renovation, a garden, a haircut or a restored old print.
- Then and now: the same people in the same place years apart, for an anniversary album.
- Step by step: a recipe or a craft project, stacked so it reads top to bottom.
- Panorama by hand: two overlapping shots side by side with no spacing.
Want a frame around the result? Run it through the photo border tool. Need it smaller to share? Use the photo resizer.
