A good photo album title does one of three things: names the place or person, captures the feeling, or borrows a phrase only the people in the photos would recognize. Below are 80 title ideas grouped by album type, matching SkyAlbum’s free album outlines, plus tips for writing your own.

How to write your own album title
- Start with one sentence about the story. “Three days of getting lost in the mountains” already contains a title: Lost in the Mountains.
- Borrow a real phrase. Something someone said on the day, a song that played, or a family joke makes a title nobody else has.
- Keep it short enough for a spine. Two to five words fit a book spine or a cover label. Put dates and places in a subtitle.
- Avoid the generic. “Summer 2026” is a folder name. “The Summer of the Broken Sandal” is a title.
- Read it in ten years. Inside jokes are great, but add a subtitle if future readers will need context.
Once you have a title, write captions in the same voice; writing better photo captions has examples. Still deciding what the album is about? Browse 25 photo album ideas, or start by organizing your photos.
